Manage the remote syslog settings

Unisphere supports the management of the remote syslog settings.

Prerequisites

See Roles and associated permissions to determine the user roles that can perform this task.

Steps

  1. Select Settings icon to open the Settings panel.
  2. Select Security > Remote Syslog.
  3. Type a value for the IP Address/Host Full Name and the Port.
  4. Click Choose File to select the certificate file to be imported.
  5. Optional: Select CLEAR to clear the selection.
  6. Select one of the RFCs (RFC 5245, RFC 5424, or RFC 3164).
  7. Optional: Select Reduce the amount of data transferred to send only the smas log to remote syslog.
    If you select this option, click OK when prompted by a confirmation window.
  8. Optional: If available, click Modify Logging State to modify the logging state.
  9. Click Apply.
